Popcorn Sales
Pack 82's annual popcorn fundraiser begins Saturday, September 20th
with the "Kernel" (Susan Oja/Key) distributing order forms
at the Pack Kickoff on Thursday, September 18th. Just a reminder...this
is Pack 82's ONLY fundraiser of the year and the funds we raise
is used to fund Pack activities throughout the year.
Important Reminders
Any unsold popcorn must be returned to the Key's before Thursday,
October 16th.
"Take Order" forms are due at the Pack Meeting on Thursday,
October 16th. Popcorn can be picked up at the Key's (4959 Blue Spruce
Court) on Saturday, November 8th between 8:00 am and noon.
Popcorn money is due to Susan Oja no later than Monday, November
10th. Please have all checks made out to "Pack 82"
and make a personal check out for the amount you have collected
in cash (then keep the cash). Please turn in ALL the money at once,
no partial payments.
Our Pack 82 Goal
Last year, our Pack sold a record of $13,000. If we all do
our best, we can sell even more this year!! The Pack suggests that:
- Tiger Cubs try to sell $100 in popcorn.
- Older Scouts try to sell $200-$500 in popcorn.
WIN/WIN Situation
When Pack 82 sells popcorn, everyone wins!
- The customer gets a great tasty product.
- The boys earn money.
- The Pack earns money for fun activities.
- The Four Lakes Council earns money to support our Pack.
Selling Options
There are three ways you can sell popcorn. Choose one, two, or all
three of these to earn money or prizes:
- Door-to-Door Order Sales. Order forms due back Thursday,
October 16th. Popcorn available for pickup on Saturday, November
8th.
- Door-to-Door Show and Sell. Popcorn available from the
Key's on Saturday, September 20th. Popcorn NOT sold is due back
on Thursday, October 16th.
- Show & Sell Booth. Reserve a supply of popcorn from
the Key's and have your Den set-up a booth in front of a local
business. This is a great Saturday morning Den activity. You choose
the date, time and location.
When selling popcorn, Scouts should be in full uniform and must
be accompanied by an adult. All checks should be made payable to
Pack 82 - and yes these funds are tax deductible.
What Can Scouts Earn?
Cub Scouts will earn $1 for every $15 they sell (about 6 1/2%). Scouts
selling over $500 in popcorn will receive a pair of tickets to Kalahari
Resort Water Park in Wisconsin Dells. Scouts selling over $700 in
popcorn will receive 2 tickets to Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells good
for next summer. Any Cub Scout with $1,200 in sales will receive 2
tickets to Kalahari and 2 tickets to Noah's Ark.
